When selling or renting your Algarve property, you'll need an electrical inspection certificate. Only a CERTIEL-registered electrician can issue this. We provide the certificate with all qualifying work, in both English and Portuguese.

Yes. Under Portuguese law (Decreto-Lei 101-D/2020), electrical installations in residential properties must be performed by CERTIEL-registered electricians. Work done by unregistered electricians is not only legally void — it voids your property insurance. We are fully CERTIEL-registered and issue all required documentation.
Strongly recommended. Older Algarve properties (built before 2005) often have ceramic-fuse boards, aluminium wiring, and inadequate earthing that won't pass modern insurance requirements. We offer pre-purchase inspections with a detailed written report in English, so you can negotiate or budget for any required work before you complete.
For a typical 3-bedroom villa: 3–5 days. Apartments take less. We work systematically to minimise disruption, and will give you a room-by-room schedule before we start. You'll receive CERTIEL certification on completion, valid for property sale, rental, or insurance purposes.
